The Stars of  Uxudar

(A Space Ballad)

I saw the Stars of Uxudar

and I cannot resist

the urge to return from afar

and dance within their mists...

... within the violet-twinkling dust

of cosmic-gleaming winds

and silver motes that surely must

'sing'  'til they descend.

...There are lights upon Horizons

lights so brilliant-clear

Lights upon Horizons

and Hearts far and near

There are lights upon Horizons

... The Stars of Uxudar

with mirage-moons and ultra-suns

beaming to where you are

I saw the Stars of Uxudar

and I may not resist

the urge to return from afar

and let my face be 'kist'...

... For there, within that galaxy

I saw someone like you

looking back... across at me

thru time... and dancing too...

... There are lights upon Horizons

lights so brilliant-clear

Lights upon Horizons

and Hearts far and near

There are lights upon Horizons

... The Stars of Uxudar

I am undone, 'til I shall run...

... light-years to where you are!
